On the occasion of the Italian Design Day (IDD) on Tuesday, march 5, 2024 at 4,30 pm the Italian Embassy in the Sultanate of Oman, in collaboration with the National Museum, present a Round Table discussion with the participation of the Design’s Ambassador of this year edition here in Muscat, Professor Alba Cappellieri: Author, Curator and Tenured Professor of Jewelry and Fashion Accessories Design at the Milan Polytechnic University, where she is also Director of the international Master in Accessories Design and of the Master in Fashion Tech: from Sportswear to Lifestyle.
In 2017 she was appointed from the Italian Ministry for Foreigners Affairs Ambassador of Italian Design for the Italian Design Day in Osaka, in 2018 in Sydney, in 2019 in Baku, in 2020 in Miami, in 2021 in Rabat, in 2022 in Hamburg, in 2023 in Cyprus, in 2024 in Muscat. Since 2014 she founded and directed The Jewelry Museum at the Palladian Basilica in Vicenza
At the the Round Table will also take part Mr. Hamza al Naamani, Industrial Design Manager of the Omani startup ONSOR Technologies, M.Me Mona Ismail, Dean of the Scientific College of Design of Muscat, and M.me Hazar al Zadjaly, fashion designer and founder and managing director of Boutique Muscat
