Consular services
If you are an Italian citizen located in the Sultanate or an Omani citizen interested in carrying out activities in Italy, you may need the services provided by the Consular Office of the Italian Embassy in Muscat.
Consular services are provided according to the principles of equality, impartiality, efficiency and transparency. The exercise of some rights and access to some services are limited only to Italians who have registered in the Registry of Italians Resident Abroad (AIRE), which is mandatory under Law no. 470 of 1988.
The Italian Consulates protect compatriots in various circumstances, such as in the case of violation of their fundamental rights, arrest or detention, emergencies in crisis situations, search for family members, issuance of travel documents in case of loss or theft of passports, repatriation of corpses.

Opening hours of the Consular Section:
from Sunday to Thursday from 09.00 to 12.30.
On Fridays and Saturdays the Embassy is closed as it is the Islamic weekend.
