Please note that Italian documents of different nature (commercial, university, civil status…) which may be necessary in Oman must be previously legalized by the Omani diplomatic and consular authorities in Italy to make them accepted in the Sultanate.
In the absence of specific Conventions, the notification of judicial and extrajudicial documents in civil and commercial matters is implemented through diplomatic channels pursuant to art. 142 of the Code of Civil Procedure. For Italian citizens, consular notification is allowed pursuant to Legislative Decree 71/2011.
