The visit of the Italian training ship Amerigo Vespucci to Muscat concluded on Saturday 11 January, for its first visit to the Sultanate in its 93-year history. “The ocean unites us irrespective of the differences” has commented the Ambassador Pierluigi D’Elia on the occasion of the visit “Over the decades, the ship has been an epitome of sailing ambassador taking the common message of love and brotherhood.” The port visit has been a huge success of public, with almost 33,000 visitors in the three days it was berthed at Muscat Port Sultan Qaboos.
