Citizenship

GENERAL INFORMATIONS

Italian citizenship is currently regulated by law n. 91 of February 5, 1992 (and by the regulation for its implementation: in particular by Presidential Decree No. 572 of October 12, 1993 and Presidential Decree No. 362 of April 18, 1994). The law recognizes the legal value of people’s will to acquire or lose Italian citizenship and affirms the right to possess more than one citizenship at the same time.

We remind you that all Civil Status documents issued by Authorities of other Countries must be legalized or apostilled, with attached legalized or apostilled sworn translation, in the country of issue of the same, before being presented to these offices.
