NEW PROCEDURES TO TRAVEL TO ITALY

The Decision of the Minister of Health of 16 April 2021, in force starting from 18 April, introduces important innovations for those returning to Italy from Oman or from countries included in lists C, D and E of annex 20 of DPCM 2 March 2021. Oman is part of list E.

It is compulsory to present the negative result of a PCR test taken within 48 hours prior to entry into Italy;

It is required to observe a a home quarantine of 10 days and to take a PCR test at the end of the quarantine;

Upon entering the Italian territory, it is mandatory to fill in the digital localization form.

Special provisions apply to those who in the previous 14 days or transited through Brazil, including the possibility of entering Italy – undergoing a 10-day home quarantine and double PCR test – also for reasons of reunification with minor children, spouses or civilly united parties.
