The “remote worker” is the foreigner who, through the use of technological tools that allow remote working, will carry out subordinate work or collaboration activities according to the methods set out in Article 2, paragraph 1, of Legislative Decree 15 June 2015, no. 81. The employer or client may have their registered office in Italy or abroad. For staying above 90 days (type D), the applicant can submit the documents at the Italian Embassy. For staying below 90 days, visa is required also for foreigners normally exempted from visa requirement.
