OMANI NATIONAL OFFICIAL PASSPORTS (Diplomatic, Service and Special passports)
The bilateral Agreement between the Italian Republic and the Sultanate of Oman on mutual exemption from Visa Requirements for holders of Diplomatic, Special and Service passports authorizes visa-free travel to Italy for holders of official Omani passports for a maximum stay of 90 days within a period of six months. Passport validity should be at least 6 months.
The visa exemption only relates to travels to Italy. The bilateral agreement does not automatically include free travel within other Schengen countries. Holders of official passports wishing to enter or transit through other Schengen countries are advised to seek relevant information from those Countries´ diplomatic or consular missions.
For stays longer than 90 days for staff of the Omani missions in Italy or based in Italy, a diplomatic visa is still needed. A Verbal Note from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Oman is required. Please, submit visa application following the check-list.
The visa is free of charge.
